PG	Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS)	Min.: 1 year Max. : 3 years	Bachelor of Library Science / Bachelor of Library and Information Science Others Graduate (10+2+3) with at least 300 marks of study in Library Science / Library and Information Science / Information Science.
2nd Degree	Bachelor in Library and Information Science (BLIS)	Min.: 1 year Max.: 3 years	Graduate (10+2+3) For fresher : 45% in Hon’s subject for Hons. Graduate / 50% in aggregate for pass graduate. For in-service candidates : Candidates having experience of working in a library or similar other organizations in a salaried post not below the category of clerical cadre in a Govt. Organization or equivalent for at least 3 years may be exempted from the requirement of minimum marks at the graduation level (10+2+3). Such candidates will have to submit No-objection certificate and a certificate stating the last pay drawn from his / her employer.
Ph.D.	Library and Information Science (PHDLS)	--	MLIS / MLISc. and NET / SLET / SET
